ZELDA: BREATH OF THE WILD

BY EDITOR AND PUBLISHER C. A. PASSINAULT

Zelda: Breath of the Wild
To date, I have played over 210 hours of the new Zelda: Breath of the Wild game on my Nintendo Switch.
I have never gotten into a game more than this one, and that is saying something.
To me, the new Zelda transcends game. It is a world that you hold in two hands.

Flawed “realistic” weapon’s breaking system reduces you to running around throwing bombs, which is the opposite of past Zelda games..... And it makes fighting a whole lot less fun because it breaks the combat system.

Combat system is not refined enough.

Which brings us to the item inventory.......

Rune abilities defy the laws of physics.... What is this thing about realism?

Opponents have unlimited arrows and unrealistic advantages.

Food cooking effects and item combinations are unrealistic.

In-game economy is wrecked (Shop owners made of money).

Goes too far in some areas, but not far enough in others.

Artificial life is scripted, and should be emergent.

Climbing and rain.

Things such as fast travel points and the blood moon respawns are unrealistic, but they make the game manageable regardless of how it is formatted.
