NIGHT TRAP

In Night Trap, which actually wasn’t a bad FMV game, you had to switch through the rooms, only being able to watch one room at a time, listen for code changes to the surveillance system that you had tapped into to maintain control over the system and the traps, and trap the intruders.
Night Trap and Intruders concept.A much more fun evolved version of Night Trap, "Intruders", by C. A. Passinault, which would actually have improved gameplay, and would be more at home on a touch screen system such as the iPad / iPhone, would have video in multiple screens, like a modern CCTV (Closed Circuit Television) system. While you would be able to watch all of the rooms at the same time, you could slide your finger over the room that you would like to listen to (or, there could be a toggle softkey in each panel where you could toggle the audio pickups on and off, literally being able to also listen to all of the rooms, if you wished. Sorting out all of that audio mixed like that would be a skill, and, as someone who works with sound all of the time, it would work.). When an Auger showed up in a room, you’d have to watch them for when they neared a trap (with the same type of meter assisting, if desired; this could be an option, too), and time it by tapping on the Auger when you wanted to trigger the trap (miss the timing, and the trap misfires, and fails to trap the Auger, just like in the original game). Obviously, such a set-up would require more Augers than in the original game, but keep in mind that the Augers could also be sneakier, and more stealthy, so they could be missed, especially with static cameras in each room covering certain angles (there could be three camera or so per room, each covering a certain angle, with a motion detector alerting the player if there is something going on in a blind camera angle. Obviously, the motion detector would false from time to time, and augmenting the view of the room with audio might help the player determine if it’s real or not). The result of such a game would be a FMV game where the player could watch the story unfold, and use their skills of observation, hand eye coordination, and gameplaying skills to catch the Augers.
A more advance version of this game (and can play on the iPad/ iPhone as well), which would not play the same way twice, and could be far more interactive, with characters who vary patterns, and react to what the player is doing. Using computer graphics and performance capture, as well as AL/ AI subroutines, the game could simulate FMV streaming with regular character interactions, based on environmental variables, as well as scripted scenes with voice-over acting. This version of the game could also be shipped with an editor for user created content and custom scenarios.
