Slander Is The New Discrimination

Slander Is The New Discrimination: Current Issue, Issue 35, Volume 2, for November, 2011. New Issue published every month, and updated throughout the month. Next issue due online December 2011.

 Thoughts:

111911-2000 - Passinault: Spent several days working on the November issue of Frontier Pop, and am now making it available online on Thursday, November 24, 2011. This issue, issue 35, is about slander being used as discrimination, as slander IS the new discrimination. Being different from most people, I often experience discrimination in the form of slander, as some unethical people make up lies about me in order to attack my credibility. Debate about issues? HELL NO! They cannot win a debate with me, or compete, so they slander me in order to try to eliminate me. Of course, I refuse to be a victim of this, and I fight back within legal and ethical means (and I am going to start suing people in the future, too). Also, these unprofessional attacks backfire, because when people who have been lied to about me meet me and get to know me, that realize that they were lied to, and the liars destroy their own credibility. As you can guess, this issue, and subject, is very important to me, as those who slander should never be allowed to get away with it. In closing, one lie about me is that I slander others in order to destroy their credibility. What credibility? Parodying questionable people revealing problems in industry is NOT slander, and if these people actually consulted attorneys like they claim to, they would find that out. I do not slander anyone. This said, I will start focusing more on activity patterns and completely made-up characters who do familiar things in order to educate people while entertaining. I met up with model and friend Melissa Maxim last Tuesday night, as she has worked with me from the beginning of my career as a photographer, and we had a long talk about my tactics in dealing with scams and other issues in the industry, as well as if they are cost-effective or not. What she told me makes sense, and while I will continue to fight my three front war, it will be more generalized on activity patterns, and I will cease going after people and scams. I'm going to start working on my P.R., and with friends like Melissa there with me, things will go well. Also, effective immediately, I will no longer make fun of Nolan and his friends (I will make an exception for Joeba The Butt, as this guy is everything that is wrong in Tampa indie film, in my opinion, and I have strong suspicions that this guy is the source of many of the issues that I have had with Tampa indie film; He is not getting off that easy. I will also make an exception for Tez and the crazed blog girl), as it serve little purpose. I also had a pleasant talk with Nolan last weekend, and we buried the hatchet. While I will not go back to past issues and remove content, especially since I do not have the time, there will be no new posts from certain characters, as I am moving on. I will also stop covering other pop culture sites, as Frontier Pop is not defined by what our competition in doing. We are forging on, and we will be focusing on other things from this point forward. In closing, it should be noted that the Tampa indie film war is still ongoing, and that it has expanded. I have officially imposed permanent sanctions on the Tampa indie film clique, as they have crossed the line, and they will be permanently banned from all of my film festivals, from participating in the Tampa Film conference events, and from membership in the Tampa Film Community. We do not need these people undermining progress in Tampa indie film like they have been in the past ten years. They tried, they failed, and they are out of business, as far as I am concerned.

112011-0100 - Passinault: The next issue of Frontier Pop, issue 36, for December 2012, will be have a series of indie film reviews, and will be the first of many indie film review issues. With a lot of planned updates to Tampa Bay Film and the Tampa Bay Film sites in 2012, all of those reviews and articles, archived Tampa Film Blog posts relevant to newly published content, as well as other content, will be referenced on issues of Frontier Pop and other web sites. The next issue of Frontier Pop, too, will be our second Nolan-free issue (past issues which currently do not have readers reaction sections in place will also be Nolan-free, as Evil Nolan and most of his friends are retired).

112311-0800 - Passinault: Is there a reason that Dreamweaver blanked out all my defined sites? Oh, well, I'll just define as I go. Some things I will never have the answer to, such as why Woods is mad at me (he is either showing his true colors, or someone slandered me to him and got him mad at me for some silly nonsense).

INITIALIZING

ISSUE INTRODUCTION BY EDITOR AND PUBLISHER C. A. PASSINAULT

Welcome to the November 2011 issue of Frontier Pop. This is a more transitionary issue for me and the web site, phasing in new features gradually as we work toward being the pop culture and entertainment web site that everyone wants and needs. As that work is done, and progress is made, we will be writing issues about topics which are relevant to our readers. In this issue, we focus on a new form of discrimination which is becoming common today, especially in this age of texting and social media, whish is, in my opinion, technologically enabled mass Frontier Pop Issue 35: Slander is the new discrimination. - C. A. Passinaultignorance. These days, whenever I see someone texting or talking on a cell phone, I wonder if there is anything intelligent being shared. With social media, it’s obvious that most users are idiots. I’m sorry, but it needed to be said. I used to be an optimist about the future and advancing technology, but these days, I yearn for the simpler and more personable times of the 1980's and 1990's, the best time to be living, in my opinion (especially when most music and trends these days SUCK). It’s not that I am against technology, either, because I am not some bitter old fogey or has-been who isn’t with it or doesn’t understand what is going on. I understand what is going on all too well, and that it one of the problems with my new critical attitude. I’m also still quite young, with the only difference between who I am now and who I was in my early 20's being more training, more experience, much more comprehensive and developed business plans, the fact that I no longer have to depend upon day jobs because I have working careers, total domination in web sites and in new media, and more gray hair. Oh, and I also look better than I did back then, which is something that I am happy about, although I do not allow myself to be defined by my appearance. I’m not superficial like most people are.
At any rate, my opinions are more mature, too, with experience and observation supporting them. My opinion is that technology is too enabling and cheap these days, and it gives people who haven’t earned the right to have a voice. There is way, way to much noise out there with the Internet and the media overcrowded with morons, and not nearly enough signal. With social media, too, keep in mind that I have now been working the Internet for the past 12 years or so, and my network of top web sites pretty much gives me an advantage in my career fields these days; my investments and hard work are paying off. With social media, I also know how to work it well, although much of what I post is lost on most of the laypeople populating social media web sites. It doesn’t matter, though. I have web sites. Most do not.
I’ve earned the right to have a voice. I own top web sites, have thousands of readers, and I know what I am writing about. I was playing video games before they were mainstream and “cool” in the eyes of the majority. I was on the Internet before it was “cool”. I was writing, doing indie films, doing plays, and doing photography before it was “cool” and accessible. I’m real, and I have paid my dues. I only ask that people who use the technology that we have today take the time to learn things, to know things, and to know what it is that you are talking, or writing, about, when you go online. Sadly, most don’t do that, and it enables all sorts of underhanded and idiotic things to occur online, such as slander being used to attack and to discriminate against others. It’s the new wild, wild west (which has NOTHING to do with my use of “Frontier” in my properties, as my use of that word is representative of the future), and with technologically enabled mass ignorance, you have online mob justice and lynchings. Well, new things take time to balance themselves out, or to find a new equilibrium. In the meantime, there are always ways around the roadblocks and the issues that such things put up; every problem has a solution, and every measure has a countermeasure. Fortunately, I have skills that can help myself, as well as help others, deal with this. I should know, as I am a top scam fighter and an industry hacker, and my concepts have not only changed industries, but I have a good track record of coming up with countermeasures for scams.
Read on. I hope that this issue helps the victims out there, especially those who empower their attackers and allow themselves to be victims.

New Frontier Pop format is being phased in
On a side note with this issues, you’ve probably noticed some changes. Some of them have been so subtle that they may be hard to notice, but some are very noticeable. We’ve started using our new Frontier Pop slogan “Know Things”, and are now using a new dual cover format for the issues. Some of these advancements have been retro applied to older issues on Frontier Pop, but officially, it all starts with this issue for November 2011. We’ve also changed up the menu system somewhat, and have done some work on our site support sections. This is just the beginning, and we have a lot of cool things planned for the site, as well as what we are going to accomplish. I also want to take a moment to point out that we will be working on unfinished past issues as we go, and will be linking to new content on those old issues from current issues, as they are completed and filled in with the rest of their content. Since Frontier Pop has a lot of previous issues, as well as issues that exist only in a sequence, and have yet to be written, expect this work to take at least a year. I expect Frontier Pop to be completely operational, and where we want it to be, by the end of 2012. Just in time for the end of the world.
Seriously, though, we have big plans for Frontier Pop in 2012, and beyond, the Mayans be damned. We are currently the number one pop culture, video game, entertainment, and subculture site in the Tampa Bay market. We will be increasing our lead with interviews, articles, videos, video interviews, event coverage, reviews, and much more in the coming months and years. I will be writing, and publishing, issues addressing a wide range of subjects, too, and some of them will be highly controversial subjects (I often talk to a variety of people, and our conversations are on a number of subjects. They ask me for additional information, and then I get the idea of just writing it for them to be published on Frontier Pop, and then tell them about Frontier Pop. This site is becoming a very useful tool to help people with). I will also be creating a HUGE video game section and database here on Frontier Pop. Of course, Frontier Pop will also serve as a marketing and lead-in site for several of my web site and business properties, which include my Frontier Society subculture, by DJ Frontier career, my photography companies, my events, and my event planning and stage production companies, which means that many of the web sites and other support features for these properties will be worked on. The Frontier Society web site, for example, is past due for an overhaul and a relaunch, especially now that we have figured out the relationship between the Frontier Pop and the Frontier Society web sites. Oh, and you can expect to see the word “Frontier” used in a lot of my projects and brands in the future, along with my vision of what it represents. Everyone will see that a lot, and they will understand that it is a cool word with a cool meaning.
Enough of that though. I have an issue to write.

Why this issue of Frontier Pop is so important to me
This issue of Frontier Pop, which is primarily about slander being used as a form of “politically correct” slander, if very important to me because I have constantly experienced this for most of my life. Now, I’m not playing the role of a victim here, and I’m not accepting being victimized by the morons who have slandered me. I’m just saying that it’s getting old, and that in the future, it will become too risky to do, especially to me. Although slander does not affect me, it does hurt, and it becomes annoying.
Since the days of meeting troubled pseudo-friends like Mark and Sabrina, who used me for my car, and some of the idiots that I worked with at my first jobs, such as Little Caesars Pizza, I’ve experienced people talking about me behind my back. I’m different, you see, and some might even call me eccentric (that might be true, because I do tend to do things my own way, and I’m not into the boring things that most people seem to be into, such as sports). That said, I have a right to just be me, and to live my life the way that I feel is right. As long as I do not violate the rights of others, do something unethical, or commit a crime, I have the right to live my life. It’s too bad that others do not see things that way.
As I went through life in my early years, I tended to get along with most people, despite having anti-social tendencies hardwired into me. Some people, however, were intimidated by me, because I had an IQ of 200 and seemed to know things that they did not. They knew that I was different, and it made them feel insecure. Whether that insecurity was that their friends would like me more than they would like them (ahem, Kenny!), or that they could not compete with me, they rejected me because of how they felt. They, too, either sold themselves short, or out, by not giving things a chance.
These jerks were in the minority, though, as I make friends easily, and I know, I really should not dwell on the minority, and it’s something that I am working on, even today.
As time went on, most of the people who did not like me for one reason or another liked to badmouth me, but found out that there wasn’t any dirt on me, as I live a much cleaner, and more honest, life than most do. So, they resorted to making up things about me. They resorted to slander in an attempt to discredit me.
This was more annoying than anything else through the years, as it was just talk. Some tried to engage me online, and my best online fights were between 2007 to 2009. Many of my opponents were to afraid of debating issues with me online, though, and resorted to spreading, and posting, lies about me.
In 2008, slander hit home, as I had to deal with a bunch of B.S. because of lies that someone was saying about me. The fallout was extremely disruptive to my life for a while, and I almost had to sue them over it. Although I was cleared, and the liar was exposed and paid for their crime, what made it worse is that others found out, and spread the lies around as if they were the truth.
Let’s get something straight. I do not commit crimes. I try to respect the rights of others, even if they are different than I am. Also, although I am aware of what others do, I do not break any privacy laws, or any other laws, to find out information which is relevant to me and what I do. I’ve been accused of being insane, of being “crazy”, of being a criminal, of being a stalker, of being “creepy”, or whatever in attempts to discredit me. This is B.S., as I have done nothing wrong, and in the instances when I was fighting with some, I was doing so not only to stand up for my rights, but to finish a fight that someone started. I generally do not start fights with anyone, but I am very good at finishing them, and at winning.
Of all of the times that I had to deal with slander being used as a form of discrimination, nothing is more personal, and more nasty, than the experience that I had with the Tampa indie film scene. These unethical, unprofessional, insecure idiots, most of whom make terrible films (more on that later), ganged up on me, started a fight, and it turned into an ongoing indie film war in the Tampa Bay market which will not only continue for many more years, but will have lasting, permanent repercussions in Tampa independent film. There will be consequences, and there already have been, and these people found out that the tactics that have worked with others did not work out so well with me. I was the wrong person to mess with, as I fought back.
In my experience, and in my opinion, Tampa filmmakers have long used slander as a form of discrimination to discredit potential competitors, and the market has paid for it. This is why most of the current “filmmakers” do not make good films, and it is why Tampa indie film has never gone anywhere or succeeded. It is also why others, such as certain film festivals, treat independent film in Tampa for what it is- a joke. Tampa filmmakers cut their own throats and undermined any possibility of creating a thriving indie film scene and a genuine Tampa indie film community because they were insecure and they lied about others.
So, I’m sick and tired of the slander. I’m sick and tired of the credibility attacks. I’m sure that others out there are, too, and this is what this issue of Frontier Pop is about. I do like to write about cool things, trends, and more entertaining subjects, but this site can also cover more controversial, and “hard journalism”-worthy subjects when it is needed.
Enjoy.

Slander is the new discrimination

Discrimination. It is such an ugly word. Today, society as a whole has been conditioned that discrimination is crass, and it is something that cannot be tolerated in any form. It is something that bigots and racists, the undesirables, do. It is wrong.
Agreed.
The problem is that where there is a will, there is a way. Those who would discriminate are less honest about it, and find ways of doing it without incriminating themselves. So, in order to discriminate without looking like they are the bad guy, they either expose others for their wrongdoings, or, as is the case most of the time, they either spread rumors about people, or spread outright lies about people, in an attempt to defame and discredit those whom they wish to discriminate against.
Discrimination is easier, and safer, when it is done through slander. Slander is the new discrimination.

Political correctness in today’s superficial sell-out society
Society today is almost amusing. You see all of these messages everywhere, which is usually nothing more than a form of propaganda, about how people need to think for themselves, be themselves, be original, do the right thing, and to fight for what they believe in. Unfortunately, this is not how society is really geared. Most people today life lives which are quite opposite of what the messages depicts, and God help anyone who tries to live up to such ideals, as it is anti-society.
Then we have freedom of speech. What freedom of speech? If you say anything unpopular these days, such as anything against gays, you are called a bigot and are persecuted for it. Everyone is now so afraid to speak their mind, and to express their opinions, that we have become a society of boring, bland, fakes. We have been neutered as a people! Most people in society go with the flow, live their lives as followers, and are basically cowards. Too many people are concerned about what others think about them, and they allow themselves to be defined by their relationships or by what they perception of what others think is.
Let’s GET REAL, people! Figure out who you are and stay true to who you are! You are defined by what you do and what you stand for. It’s not always the easiest and the most popular course of action, but it is the way to not only make your life mean something, but it is the only way that you will make real friends who are worth having.

True originality and manufactured originality

The truth: Low tolerance of difference in others spun for political correctness

Discrimination is not tolerated now, due to gay activists and civil rights activists (two different things, by the way). Slander and libel is now used to discriminate so that it does not look like discrimination.

How to fight this form of discrimination

Be yourself and be known

Sue and embarrass your attackers

Slander: A type of credibility attack which backfires and destroys the credibility of the attacker

Sticks and stones: The psychological impact of slander and how to rise above it

Am I hated? Should I fight back? Does it make a difference? My thoughts and experience.

Tez Nutjob Tez - Posted 11/24/11: 1000

Passinault, although you have made peace with my skipper, you can now deal with me, the great Tez! I read what you have up so far on this slander issue of Frontier Pop, which you are now claiming is the number one pop culture web site in Tampa Bay. Are you serious? Are you smoking crack, you psycho dumbass? The site which I inherited, and now control, is THE number one Tampa pop culture site, and don’t you forget it! We were there first, and unlike you and your off-topic “issues” of Frontier Pop, we actually write about pop culture! I heard that you went to comic con a couple of weeks ago and were clueless and lost! Ha ha! You don’t know nothing about pop culture!
So there! Ha ha!
I have more points to make. First, like all of you other issues of Frontier Pop, you only post half-done, or not-done issues and then move on to the next one! This site has so much missing that it is a joke, and it will never be able to compete with my mighty pop culture site! Ha! I also find it hilarious, and so do my fanboy buds, that you dare write about slander when you slander US! Yes, you have been slandering us for a long time! We should sue YOU! Ha ha!
So, we are not going away. Our site will be larger and stronger and better and more read than anything that this Frontier Pop site will be! Everyone knows that Frontier Pop isn’t a real web site with real content, and it is just a facade of a HATE web site to slander us with! Without us around, there would be no Frontier Pop!
Cuddles.

Woody Woody - Posted 11/24/11: 1012

I have your back, Tez! You know it! Passinault and this Frontier Pop shit are nothing! You know that I am your best friend and will always back you up, even if your wrong! I do what the others in the Tampa indie film clique do, because I don’t think for myself! I love you, Tez! I told Passinault off to his face because I was around you guys, and I wanted to show you all how cool I am because I have your back! What a funny time that was for all! Me and John Boy were laughing about it all day!

Crazed Blog Grrl Crazed Blog Grrl - Posted 11/24/11: 1018

You are so right, Tez and Woody! So very right! I might add that Passinault is a hater and a jerk! He writes about slander (as if we are too stupid to realize that he is implying that we discriminated against him by slandering him. You guys made it up, and I just went along with it, so don’t blame me!), and he should be writing about how he is a mean cyber bully! He puts up all of these web sites full of hate and uses them as bully pulpits to beat up on people! How can anyone take that hater seriously? We are right and he is wrong, and we should write a song! I already wrote a song about John Boy and his big Dumbo ears! He my friend!

Bill LumberghBill Lumbergh - Posted 11/24/11: 1124

Hello.... What’s happening? I have been reading this interesting web site, and I don’t seem to understand what you people are doing. Maybe it is time that we should have a talk. Tez seems like he is high-strung, Woody makes be sick because he is very un-woodlike, and that blog girl is just too fat and fugly for my tastes. Maybe you all should sit down and actually read this site before you start bashing it. Um, yeah.........

Woody Woody - Posted 11/24/11: 1212

Oh, shut up, Lumbergh! Get out of my face! You don’t know what you are talking about! Passinault and his sites are full of POISON, and he is the reason that there is no Tampa filmmaking scene now! He killed Tampa indie film! He did! People go on the Internet and read his sites, and they form a bad opinion about us and then they don’t want to deal with us! He also quit referring his HOT actress friends to my psycho films, so I hate him for it! Where will I get HOT actresses now? Where? He punished me because of what my friends did to him, even though I support what my friends did to him! Yeah! Now, I can openly hate him like my friends do, instead of pretending to be his friend so that I can get HOT actresses for my films, since I am not getting NONE of that anymore!

Joeba The Butt Joeba The Butt - Posted 11/24/11: 1320

Passinault is trying to destroy me! I don’t know what you guys are complaining about, because while he HATES you, he isn’t out to get you and destroy you like he is me! Passinault is going to give my films bad reviews, and he is going to write about how much I suck as a filmmaker, and my career will be over soon because people will believe his SLANDER against me! It will be his fault! It will! He is the destroyer of dreams!
